Question and Answers

Q: What is the maximum supported concurrent users for NetScaler 11.0?

A: The recommended is not 1500 concurrent users, but if this exceeds then provision more resources to accommodate more concurrent users.

Q: Will NetScaler be unsupported if resources of the hypervisor are??shared with other VMs?

A: You will not be out of support if the VPX shares resource with other VMs. This is not a requirement, but a recommendation. The only element you would need to keep an eye is the CPU (VPX has enough resources). You can consider using Command Center to set some monitor alerts or if an SNMP system is already in place then set CPU traps on NetScaler which will send out alerts if CPU thresholds are breached.

The idea of a dedicated single hypervisor to VPX is likely a holdover from when VPXs were first tested, quite a number of years ago. Today hypervisors are much more powerful (multi-core processors) and can handle the load.
