This article explains how to define the LAN/WAN links of a CB4000/5000 for Inline and One-arm mode (WCCP or PBR) deployments.

Objective

This article explains how to define the LAN/WAN links of a CB4000/5000 for Inline and One-arm mode (WCCP or PBR) deployments

Instructions

In CB4000/5000 appliances all data interfaces (accelerated pairs – 1/1 1/2, 1/3 1/4, …) are connected to NetScaler instance. CloudBridge instances are connected to NetScaler instance in one-arm mode internally

Link definitions on CB4000/5000 have to be done using subnets:
Example:

Branch (172.16.1.0/24) <--> CB <--> WAN <--> CB-4000 <--> Datacenter (172.16.2.0/24)

When defining links on CB4000 Data Center side:
-LAN link: source subnet is 172.16.2.x
-WAN link: destination subnet is 172.16.2.x ??&

Regardless if the CB4000/5000 are installed as Inline or One-Arm mode (WCCP or PBR) LAN/WAN links are always defined as one-arm mode.
